Easter games

Easter is right around the corner, and if you’ve got a group of kids to entertain, you’re probably looking for fun ways to keep them busy. No worries, we’ve got you covered! Here are five super easy and exciting Easter games.

1. Classic Easter Egg Hunt

You can’t celebrate Easter without this one! Hide plastic eggs filled with small toys, candy, or even coins around your yard or home. You can make it extra fun by assigning a specific color to each child so everyone gets a change to find something. You could even toss in a special egg, which is often called a “golden egg” with a special prize inside, or let the young hunters know to look out for it in advance for special rewards.

2. Egg and Spoon Race

This one’s a bunch of fun. Give each kid a spoon and a hard-boiled egg, don’t make the classic mistake of giving raw eggs! It’s a big mess to clean up but definitely something to remember. Set up a little racecourse in your yard and see who can carry their egg to the finish line without dropping it. If it’s going too easy you can also make it harder by having everyone walk backwards or hop on one leg.

3. Bunny Hop Sack Race

All you need are some old pillowcases or sacks. The kids climb in, and off they go. If you have some bunny ears or face paint, let them dress the part to make it extra silly.

4. Pin the Tail on the Bunny

You likely already know how much fun it is to play “Pin the Tail on the Donkey”, just add a festive twist on the classic. Draw a big bunny on a poster board and make a fluffy tail out of cotton balls. Blindfold the kids, spin them around, and see who can pin the tail in the right spot.

5. Egg Rolling Contest

Think of it as a miniature Easter Olympics. Each kid gets a hard-boiled egg and uses a wooden spoon to roll it across a designated course. The first one to cross the finish line wins. Make it trickier by adding obstacles like cones, chairs, or even your dog if they’re feeling cooperative.

And an extra one!

Build a small gentle ramp and roll some hard-boiled eggs down it. The goal of the game is to roll your egg in such a way that it would hit the opponents’ eggs and break them. You score when you break an opponents egg, the participant who breaks the most eggs win.

Have at it and good luck!
